Emmerting is a municipality in the district of Altötting in Bavaria in Germany.

History
The first settler in Emmerting was a farmer, who built a farmhouse (a "wing", which explains the ending of the village name) there. During World War II, workers from the Dachau concentration camp were housed here. Today, Emmerting is primarily populated by teachers and workers in the nearby chemical factories.
