Emil Seibold (26 February 1907 – 11 September 1990) was a Hauptscharfuhrer in the Waffen SS during World War II, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.

Early life

Emil Seibold was born in Basel, Switzerland on 26 February 1907. He joined the Nazi Party on 1 April 1933.

Military career

Seibold joined the Waffen SS on 10 April 1940 and was first posted to the SS Totenkopf Standarte, serving an infantryman. He was transferred to the Das Reich Division, attached to the 3rd Battery, Panzerjager Battalion as a motorcyclist. He later commanded one of the battery's guns. In 1943, Seibold was transferred to the 8th Company, 2nd SS Panzer Regiment.

He was awarded the Knight's Cross on 6 May 1945.

Later life

Seibold survived the war and died in Italy on 11 September 1990.
