Hosted by Emeril Lagasse, Emeril Live featured many of the same elements as Emeril's other program, Essence of Emeril and often had a Creole theme. The program was taped in front of a live audience in New York City and featured music played by Doc Gibbs and the Emeril Live Band. In 2004, the program moved to Chelsea Market.

Sets

  • The very first Emeril Live set was used from 1997 to 1999, and consisted of a gray table and Viking Range appliances, and used a black curtain background behind the audience.
  • The second Emeril Live set was used from 1999 to 2004, and consisted of a brown table and Viking Range appliances, and used the "E" logo on the curtain behind the audience. From 1999 to 2002, the color of the "E" logo on the curtain behind the audience was green, and from 2002 to 2004, the color of the "E" logo on the curtain behind the audience was purple.
  • The third and final Emeril Live set was used from 2004 to 2010, and consisted of brand new Viking Range appliances and a brand new look. This set was changed when chef Lagasse and his program moved to Chelsea Market, and there have been ongoing changes to the set ever since. Emeril Lagasse can make his entrance to the Emeril Live set from the top of stairs in a spiral to the bottom in the kitchen when the program begins. Beginning in the mid-2005 to 2010 season, before the program starts, after a clip of Lagasse is shown, he makes his entrance with his apron on, and goes straight to the kitchen.
