Emerald Valley Public School (E.V.P.S)

Emerald Valley Public School is situated on Yercaud foothills at Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. It is based on Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The correspondent of the school is Mrs.Meenaakshi Sethu. More than 2000 students study here. It is a co education school. This school provides special coaching for differently abled children. There was a grand festival named "SUTRAM 2013". Around 100 schools from Salem were invited. Namalwar Ayya, Mr Gopinath, Dr. Sivaraman and many environmentalists were honoured. It was a two-day show. It was accompanied with dinner, only made of millets and grains. On 21.02.2014 there was a garbage segregating awareness program at the school auditorium. Mr.Piyush gave a brief introduction about the issue.All concerned government officials were also present. People from Kupamedu-Chetisavadi came and spoke about the problems they face due to these garbage. F The students and the teachers deliberated on ways to reduce the garbage, segregation and to stop using plastics. They have also played a major role in the revival of many water bodies in Salem - like Mookenari, Ammapet Kumaragiri Lake, Chatram theppakkulam and te pallappatti theppakkulam. .
