The Elkhart Elks compete in the following sports

Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Powerlifting, Golf, Tennis, Track, Softball & Baseball.

Band

J. Wes Canaday is the head director of bands at EISD, and Jared Autrey is percussion specialist and teacher. The Elkhart High School Big Red Band earned the ranking of Fourth place in the state of Texas during the 08-09 school year. They have also earned a 1st Division at the Region 21 UIL competition in 2010, setting them up for the first Sweepstakes in six years. The high school band has performed at Walt Disney World several times, and takes great pride in everything they do and achieve.
