Elizabeth Margaretta Maria Gilbert (1826–1885) was an English philanthropist.
The daughter of Ashurst Gilbert, born on 7 August 1826, she caught scarlet fever at the age of two, which resulted in her being blinded. In 1854 she established "The Association for Promoting the General Welfare of the Blind" (GWB), now called CLARITY - Employment for Blind People.
