Eliad Bar (Berent) was born in Haifa to Tzvi and Tova, holocaust survivors who immigrated to Israel shortly after it was established. After graduating from high school at "Ort Kiryat Bialik", he joined the Intelligence Corps.

In 1974 he lived in Tel Aviv and studied Painting and Sculpture at the "Avni Institute of Art and Design". Among his teachers were Yehezkel Streichman, Yaacov Wexler and Zvi Tadmor.
In 1978 he studied at "Ein Hod", an artists' colony. Some of his teachers were the painter Sima Salonim, woodcut artist Jacob Pins and Shoshana Heimann.
In 1984 Eliad established a tapestry factory. The giant wall rugs were made by his designs. Many of them still hang in dozens of public places. In 1996 he joined the "The Painters and Sculptors Association in Israel" (Haifa). In 2000 joined IMPACT, the Professional Visual Artists Association, Israel (Tel Aviv).
Eliad is also a member of the UNESCO's International Association of Art.
Education
Solo Exhibition
In 1975 Eliad exhibited his paintings for the first time in Shavei Tzion. Since then he has taken part in 57 solo and group exhibitions in private venues, galleries and through artists associations.
Teaching
Eliad has tutored Art and Art History for over thirty years in high schools and colleges. He founded the critically acclaimed web site http://Eliad.org.il , where he wrote and analyzed most of the Art History's curriculum. The web site is used by dozens of high schools, colleges and universities in Israel. Eliad bar was nominated four times for the Israeli Education Award.
