Elghammar Castle is a castle in Södermanland County, Sweden. Initially the property of the family Kruse of Elghammar, then of Johan Adolf Welander, the existing manor was sold during the year 1807 to marshall Curt von Stedingk who ordered new constructions in the style of the French Empire. His son died in 1875 and inherited by a daughter, who married the duke of Otrante (the duke had as an ancestor Joseph Fouché who was the Minister of the Police of the emperor Napoleon). The castle (the owner, duchess Christina d'Otrante, prefers to depict it as a manor or as an Italian villa) is surrounded by forests and a farm.
