Electronic Music Awards & Foundation Show

Awarded for

Outstanding excellence in Electronic Dance Music

Presented by

Electronic Music Awards Foundation

The Electronic Music Awards & Foundation Show is an upcoming awards and charity event that will spotlight the biggest artists and executives in electronic dance music and also raise money and awareness for various causes. The event was announced on January 28, 2016 by Paul Oakenfold, who is partnering with TV4 Entertainment, headed by executive producer Paul Duddridge and CEO Jon Cody. Russell Thomas will serve as the director of the program. The event was to take place at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles, California on April 14, 2016, and to air on Fox as a one-hour special on April 23, 2016. This marks the first time a major awards show devoted to the Dance/EDM community will air on American television.

Contents

On April 12, 2016, the event was being postponed in order to better prepare the awards, but has yet to announce any more details (it had stated it would be the Fall of 2016, but nothing afterwards). In a statement from the organizers "As this is the first year of the awards, we have the luxury of flexibility, which we are taking advantage of to decide the optimal timetable to present the awards. With this opportunity, we felt that it would better to represent the electronic music calendar in the fall rather than the spring."
