This is a summary of the electoral history of David Cameron, the Member of Parliament for Witney from 2001 to 2016, who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2010 to 2016, Leader of the Conservative Party from 2005 to 2016, and Leader of the Opposition from 2005 to 2010.

Conservative Party leadership election, 2005

Following the resignation of Michael Howard as Conservative Party leader on 6 May 2005, David Cameron announced his candidacy for the position on 29 September 2005. The new leader would be decided by ballots of MPs, where the lowest-placed candidate would be eliminated. When there were two candidates left, all party members were balloted.

United Kingdom general election, 2010

On 6 May 2010, David Cameron led the Conservative Party in a general election for the first time. On 11 May, he became Prime Minister, leading a coalition government with the Liberal Democrats.
