Elayirampannai has a history of more than 350 years. Once it was ruled by Zamindars who were palayakarars before the British rule. Even today the descendants of Jaminthars are living in Elayirampannai. In Elayirampannai,we can see many temples. Arulmigu Parasakthi Mariamman Kovil is one of them. Its Chithirai festival is a famous festival of this temple. This will be a 12-day function in the Tamil month of Chithirai.
