Elaine Karen Holt (born 5 June 1966) is a British businesswoman and the former Chief Executive of the East Coast (train operating company).

Early life
She was born in Oxford. She attended Stroud High School, a girls' grammar school in Stroud, Gloucestershire, where she gained nine O-levels. She did not join the sixth-form, and her headmistress said to her All you will ever be is a hairdresser.
Career
She worked for British Airways from 1985.
East Coast
East Coast was officially called East Coast Main Line Company Ltd, and was publicly-owned. She became Chief Executive of Directly Operated Railways in 2009 which ran the East Coast Main Line.
She became a non-executive director of Highways England in April 2015.
Personal life
She is married to Steve Holt.
