Ekpe Okorafor, Ph.D (born 1971) is a Nigerian American Academic in Computer Science and Technology Expert in Big Data & Analytics. He is a deep Subject Matter Expert & Principal in Accenture Digital, providing thought leadership. In 2010, he established the High Performance Computing Centers for Excellence in Africa (Nigeria & Ethiopia) that focuses on leveraging massively parallel computing platforms to solve regional problems through simulation and modeling funded by the Nelson Mandela Institution Research grant. He is a visiting Professor in Computer Science at the African University of Science & Technology (AUST) Abuja and the Addis Ababa University (AAU). He also has been a visiting Scholar at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste in Italy.

Okorafor holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science Degree both in Computer Engineering from Texas A & M University. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronic & Computer Engineering from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
