Educor is a premier supplier of tertiary education in South Africa. Educor is an abbreviation for the Education Investment Corporation Limited. They are the largest provider of private education in Southern Africa. They provide Higher, Further and Vocational education via face-to-face classes, distance learning and online learning. They also offer full-time and part-time studies, providing people from all walks of life with access to education. Educor owns various brands, including Damelin, CityVarsity, ICESA, Durban Central Technical College, Intec College, Damelin Correspondence College, and Lyceum College. Educor owns over 40 campuses and has over 280 000 students in its student population, as of 2010.

History
In January 2008, Educor was purchased from Media 24 by National Pride Trading 452 (Pty) Ltd. This new management team began restructuring the business to meet the expanding need and demand for education and training in South Africa. The strategy was implemented in 2008, and has received a positive response from the marketplace.
Damelin
In 1943, Dr. Benjamin Damelin established Damelin as a "cramming college for white students". In 1951, Johann Brummer joined Damelin as a teacher. Thereafter, in 1952, Brummer became a Damelin partner and served as Educor's Executive chairman until 1998. One of the key aspects in the development of the Damelin brand name was initiated in 1952 when Brummer started developing materials for long distance learning, which later became Damelin Correspondence College in 1955.
Lyceum College
Lyceum College has been providing quality education in the specialised fields of Public Safety Studies, Business Studies, Fleet Management and Education since 1917.
City Varsity
CityVarsity has been honing South Africa’s creative talent since 1996, offering a wide variety of courses including Animation, Journalism, Professional Acting and many more.
City Varsity was established when Robert P.C. Gray approached Boston College in Cape Town with a view to setting up a media school. Gray, a broadcast engineer who started the Television Learning Academy, had the Idea of an institution that would offer various courses related to audio visual media. These offerings included Television Production, Audio engineering, Multimedia, Journalism, Make - Up and Special Fx and Acting. John Lazarus, owner of Boston College Cape Town warmed to the idea and made the premises available while Gray provided all the equipment that initially served the courses. Soon, Gray and Lazarus jointly invested into computer workshops and an advanced sound recording studio. Ninety students were recruited the first year, most of whom were interviewed by Gray in the damp basement of the building. The venture was an unprecedented success.
ICESA
ICESA Education Services has been part of South Africa’s education landscape since 1996, providing students with the opportunity to study a broad range of disciplines, ranging from business to fashion.
Durban Central Technical College

Damelin is a predominantly English medium college. Many of its affiliates and certificating bodies are internationally based making English a suitable medium.
