History

The school was built on land donated by Southern California Edison, from which its name is derived. There is a yearly rivalry between Edison and Fountain Valley High School. During football season, there is a game, known as "The Battle of the Bell", in which the winning school takes the bell home. Edison has won this "bell game" for the last 11 years.
