Organisation

The school involves tuitions from pre-nursery levels up to the 10th grade (matriculation). The school has been incorporated to the level of functioning college after an audit of its recent educational standards. The school is governed by a principal (currently Mr Abdul Hafeez Buriro) and the administration comes under an appointed administrator (currently Mr Bheemraj).

Teaching standards and facilities

The school is divided into three sections for matriculation, technical section (for primary studies) and a middle section for students graduating from technical to the matriculation section. The matriculation section prepares students for Sindh Board examinations. While most of the students in the matriculation section come over from the technical section, a select few outsiders make their way in through an open test. The school has appeared to have achieved significant marks for matriculation in the previous years.

The school is equipped with physics, chemistry, biology laboratories and an air-conditioned computer laboratory, however there is no formal presence of a library.

Sports

The school has various sporting avenues and consist of a hockey ground, a cricket and a football field, a basketball, volleyball and a badminton court.

Historically, the technical section has produced athletes, which is sometimes attributed to the lesser workload the students face thus giving them more time for sports. Subsequently the technical section has won the Sports Day trophy the most number of times, followed by the matriculation section. The latter has won the trophy only once in 2006.

School life

The school starts at 8 o'clock in the morning and the gates close at quarter past and late students are not allowed to enter the premises until after the school assembly has taken place. The school assembly is a tradition the school enjoys since its inception. The proceedings begin with the principal or the band teacher (currently Mr Javed) along with other staff members addressing the students. The assembly starts with the singing of the national anthem and the school song where the music students take part. A prayer is said at the end. Corporal punishment is administered on students breaking the code of conduct, which may include punishments for wearing improper school uniform.

Students are divided into four houses, Success, Strength, Talent and Achievement named after principles the school adheres to. Each house has its own colour. Students would regularly compete in inter-house competitions throughout the academic year to gain points towards the house trophy.

Awards and ceremonies

The Sports Day is a premier annual event at the school. Awards are given to students who excel in sporting arenas of hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, and badminton, etc. Although, events that take place as a part of the Sports Day consist of athletic events (like 100 m—1500 m track races, relay races, hurdles, javelin and discus throws, and high and long jumps) and unconventional games like the tug-of-war. Athletes are divided into categories of juniors, pre-middlers, middlers and seniors. These category of students would represent their respective sections by colours of their outfits: green for the matriculation section, yellow for the technical section, and blue for middle section. A Sports Day trophy is handed to the best performing section.

The House Trophy is awarded to the house with most educational and extra curricular points. Competitions include the inter-house cricket, field hockey, football, and basketball tournaments, debating, singing, elocution and quiz competitions.
