According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.3 square miles (91.5 km²), of which, 35.2 square miles (91.1 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (0.34%) is water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 397 people, 135 households, and 112 families residing in the town. The population density was 11.3 people per square mile (4.4/km²). There were 147 housing units at an average density of 4.2 per square mile (1.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.24% White, 0.50% Asian, and 1.26% from other races.
There were 135 households out of which 45.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.8% were married couples living together, 3.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.0% were non-families. 13.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.94 and the average family size was 3.23.
