WCVB's Ed Harding drops a rhyme on Newscenter 5
Ed Harding is the principal anchor on WCVB-TV (Channel 5) in Boston, co-anchoring the 4, 6, and 11 PM editions of NewsCenter 5.

Early life
He is a native of Newton, Massachusetts, and graduated from Emerson College in Boston in 1975.
Career
In the early 1970s, he was a reporter in Minnesota and Plattsburgh, New York; from 1978 to 1981, he worked at WDSU in New Orleans.
Before working in Boston, he worked at WISH-TV in Indianapolis and hosted programming on the Indianapolis Colts as well as working in Detroit in the Early to middle 1980's.
He has been at WCVB-TV since 1988, where he was a weekend sports anchor and Candlepin bowling host. He became the host of the Eyeopener in 2000, and took over the primetime newscasts in March 2007 alongside Natalie Jacobson, who retired July 18, 2007.
In October 2009, he was appointed co-moderator with political reporter Janet Wu for the new WCVB-TV Sunday morning political program, On The Record.
Personal life and family
Harding is married to Andrea Halpern Harding and they have two children. They live in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
His son, Adam, a 2008 graduate of Emerson College, was a TV news reporter in Boston, who is now at WGCL-TV in Atlanta.
