Eccopsis praecedens is a moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in western, central, eastern and southern Africa, including the islands of São Tomé, Cape Verde, Madagascar and Réunion.
Larvae of this species had been stated on Cassia fistula (Fabaceae)
