The school received a grade of "A" from Florida Department of Education for the first time in its history in 2009-2010 under the leadership of principal Sharon Morris. It received a grade of "B" for the 2010-2011 school year, also the first time in the school's history.

Former school secretary and Lennard High School Assistant Principal Maria Gsell became principal in January 2012, replacing twenty year veteran Sharon Morris.
