Earthsong camps the harvest moon camp ireland 2010

Earthsong Camps (initiated in 2007) are annual weeklong participatory festival camps which occur in Ireland. As of 2012, there are four annual camps: the Harvest Camp, the Dance, Drum and Music Camp, the Stone Circle Camp, and the Healing Drum Camp. The camps' objectives are to model and explore more sustainable ways of community living, and to live gently on the Earth in a spirit of creativity and fulfilment.

History

The first camp, simply called Earthsong, took place in July 2007. Less than twenty people were involved in setting the camp up (now about sixty people are involved annually in organisation and site crew).

Ethos

Earthsong aims at nurturing models of sustainable and responsible living. The camps are participatory to a high degree.

Organisation

The camps are organised and planned beforehand by the Earthsong Core Group, a team of seven individuals, who also make overarching decisions during camp.
