Ezlynx agency suites

EZLynx was founded in 2003 by Nag Rao in Flower Mound, TX. The company specialized in process and logistics software for independent insurance agents. EZLynx’s core product, the EZLynx Rating Engine, was the first comparative rater with real-time quoting for auto and home insurance available to independent agents. The National Association of Professional Insurance Agent’s (PIA) annual publication stated that this innovation provided independent insurance agents the ability to compete with online direct writers, which revolutionized the industry. The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) chose EZLynx to partner with its Project CAP, because it gave companies and local independent agents the ability to get accurate real-time auto and home quotes from multiple insurance companies.

Products

EZLynx offers turnkey business software solutions for the independent insurance agent. EZLynx’s products were envisioned to improve and automate business practices, particularly in the area of insurance. The company’s products meet all requirements for errors and omissions standards.

Rating Engine

EZLynx Rating Engine is a software tool that allows independent insurance agents to gather risk factor inputs from customers and transmit data directly to multiple carrier systems to gather rates for a specific set of factors. Insurance quotes are instantly returned to the agent without having to duplicate the risk information on each carrier’s site.

Management System

EZLynx Management System is a software tool independent insurance agents use to manage basic business functions. The software provides an enterprise-wide view of all business activities within an agency, and it is an efficient tool for collecting and storing customer information related to policies and risk data. Users can access business information quickly and store documents for E&O purposes. Some of the primary functions include the following:

  • Collects information on trends and patterns for the organization
  • Tracks all communication for legal purposes
  • Integrates with third party vendors AssureSign, Velocify, Terrace, and Microsoft Outlook for additional functionality
  • Minimizes costs of storing physical records
  • Consumer Quoting

EZLynx Consumer Quoting is the customer facing online application of the EZLynx Rating Engine. This software allows for customers to get an instant quote from multiple carriers through an iframe on the insurance agent’s website. It also includes a Facebook application.

    Client Center

EZLynx Client Center is an online application that integrates with the management system to provide an agent’s customers the ability to access and update account information. Customer activities are logged to reduce the likelihood of E&O claims.

    Communication Center

EZLynx Communication Center is made of EZLynx Marketing Campaigns, EZLynx eSignature, EZLynx Text Messaging, and EZLynx for Microsoft Outlook. Each product was designed to automate and improve areas of communication.

EZLynx drip and bulk marketing campaigns are web-based software tools for mass communication and marketing automation. Designed for small businesses to market through email and automate repetitive tasks, specifically in the area of insurance communication. The user specifies criteria and outcomes that are stored and executed by the software to reduce human error. Use of this software replaces high-touch manual processes with automated solutions.

EZLynx eSignature by AssureSign is a web-based electronic means to legally indicate that a person adopts the contents of the electronic message or document.

In 2014, EZLynx became the first company to offer fully integrated text messaging through its agency management system. This is significant as communicating with insurance customers via text messaging is an area that could open an insurance agency to potential error and omission (E&O) lawsuits. Kaleb DeMille of Main Street Insurance explained, “The courts find that if it’s not documented in the agency system, it never happened”. Since messages are stored inside the system, it provides a legal record for documenting claims.

EZLynx for Outlook is a plug-in that tailors the features of the personal information manager to give the user the ability to move information to and from the users EZLynx system. The plug-in allows users to move documents and electronic communications between the two systems.

    Agency Websites

EZLynx Agency Websites are a set of related web pages served from a single domain purchased by the customer. The websites are dedicated to the insurance industry, particularly a specific agency, and designed and hosted by EZLynx. Agency Websites are fully integrated with the Rating Engine, Management System, Consumer Quoting, and Client Center.

    Recent Achievements

In 2012, EZLynx won the ACORD Early Adapter Award for outstanding achievement for software development in the insurance industry. EZLynx fully integrated the standard insurance industry editable forms into its Management System. EZLynx processes more than three million transactions through EZLynx every month covering more than 150 insurance companies in 48 states.

EZLynx formed a partnership with InVEST, the insurance industry’s nonprofit educational program that works with high school and college educators to provide curriculum to students from across the United States. Through InVEST, it provides EZLynx online rating tool free of charge to the over 13,000 students participating in the educational program. InVEST teachers use the EZLynx Rating Engine to teach underwriting criteria for personal line policies.
