In 2005, French company, FERMA SA became part of eServGlobal, following an acquisition valued at €38 million.

The HomeSend International Remittance Hub is a strategic partnership between eServGlobal and BICS. Launched in 2008 it allows for the international transfer of mobile remittance, roaming recharge and airtime exchange.

eServGlobal announced management board changes in 2009. The major highlight was the introduction of Richard Mathews as CEO and Craig Halliday as COO. Richard and Craig came from Mincom, where they were CEO and COO respectively. Another major change was the resignation of Ian Buddery as executive chairman. Ian Buddery was a founder, past director and CEO of eServGlobal.

In 2010, Craig Halliday assumed the role of CEO and Managing Director and Richard Mathews moved into the role of Non-Executive Chairman.

In 2011, eServGlobal launched their PayMobile platform which brought together all mobile money and recharge services on a single platform.

In February 2013, eServGlobal announces it has joined MasterCard’s Mobile Money Partnership Program.

At the AGM meeting in 2013 it is announced that Paolo Montessori will assume the role of CEO & Managing Director. Craig Halliday moved into the role of Non Executive Director.

History

  • 1991 - Incorporated in New South Wales as Sun Direct Pty Ltd, initially for the supply and installation of high performance technology hardware.
  • 1992 - Changed the name to X-Direct Pty Ltd.
  • 1998 - Changed the name to eServ Limited and expanded its offering to include integrated IT services as a result of its merger with Uniq Professional Services.
  • 2000 - Acquired Integrator Pty Limited, a software development and technology integration systems provider. Merged with Global 8 Laboratories Limited (G8Labs), a provider of technical services and software to the telecommunications industry - at this time the name is changed again from eServ to eServGlobal. Listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: ESV).
  • 2004 - Listed on London Stock Exchange AIM Market (LSE: ESG).
  • 2005 - The company acquired FERMA SA, a company founded in 1983 and a pioneer of voice processing.
  • 2010 - On May 26, Oracle acquired Universal Service Platform (USP) Intelligent Network software assets from eServGlobal.
  • 2013 - eServGlobal announced a significant contract with a major mobile operator group to deliver end-to-end mobile money services to its subscribers across countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
