Durian Furniture is a home and office furniture company based in Mumbai, India.

History
Durian established its business in Mumbai, Maharashtra with retail & wholesale trading of plywood in 1981. By 1995, it set up, for the first time in India, a decorative veneer manufacturing unit at Palghar, Maharashtra. In 1999, it set up its first showroom in Ahmedabad. In October 2015, Durian started its own e-commerce website.
Since 1985, Durian has expanded its portfolio to cover home and office furniture consisting of sofas, sofa sets, recliners, bed, dining tables, center tables, storage space, desks and office chairs. It manufactures 70% of their products locally in their factories. It provides comprehensive home and office interior solutions, having a pan-India presence. Durian offers a 5-year warranty on its products along with free delivery and free installation.
The company started its own e-commerce website in October 2015. Durian has also partnered with Flipkart, Amazon and Pepperfry to sell furniture on these marketplaces.
Durian crossed over 1,000 orders in the first quarter of 2016, becoming the most popular seller in the furniture segment on Flipkart and Amazon.
In 2014, Durian and Society Magazine presented the Durian Society Interiors Design Competition. Aftab Shivdasani inaugurated the event.
In 2016 Durian became the highest selling brand for furniture online on Flipkart and Amazon.com by processing over 1000 orders.
Durian currently operates 33 retail stores across India in Agra, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Jamshedpur, Allahabad, Kanpur, Aurangabad, Lucknow, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Surat, Thane, Varanasi, Goa, Gorakhpur, Gurgaon & Indore.

Durian operates on a standard model wherein furniture is procured or manufactured internally Durian offers a range of products, including bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, office, and hallway furniture. Furniture currently accounts for over 50 per cent of the company's turnover.
