Information
Ten abattoirs collectively employ 3,200 staff at Dungannon, Ballymena, Preston, Northern Ireland, Sawley, Northern Ireland, Llanybydder, Nantmel, Kilbeggan, Slane, Maganey and Elgin. Dunbia is devoted to improving the environment aspect of the company and they are currently working to environmental management systems throughout all the Dunbia sites.
Responsibility
Not only does Dunbia make an effort to take responsibility for the environment, they also donate money to good causes and engage in the local community. In August 2015, it is alleged that their abbatoir in Llanybydder refused to accept lambs from a local farm due to the fact that they had seen the farmer taking part in a demonstration outside Tesco in Carmarthen.
