History

In 1885 Marcello Beltrame began forging farm tools and knives.

The company produced professional cutlery, farm tools and building equipment. In the 1912 the trademark DUE ANCORE was registered for the first time, which is still used as the company trademark.

The cutlery production of the family traces origins back to the local tradition of knife making in Maniago, generated in the 15th century under the control of the Venetian Republic, which acquired most of its knives and swords in the town of Maniago.

The plant purchased new machinery and built a new production site in 1978, still to present its headquarters.

The company has implemented its collection with two new ranges of knives, Lux and Lamami.

Production

DUE ANCORE produces two lines of cutlery, the professional line and the Lamami line.

Professional cutlery

The traditional range of production of the company is constituted by professional knives and other food preparation tools. It includes 0.4 to 3.5-kg cleavers, knives for butchering, knives and spatulas for kitchens and bakeries, cheese knives, carving forks and bonding knives. The company has implemented various innovations as it relates with food safety and hygiene in the recent years, such as switching the production of wood handles to PP (polypropylene) or POM (polyoxymethylene). The blades are made using molybdenum/vanadium stainless steel which has a high carbon content.
