Global Grad Show
The Global Grad Show is an event held at the Dubai Design Week every year. It is a showcase of projects from students in top design universities around the world, such as the Royal College of Arts, Keio University and KAIST. The projects are curated based on unique and interesting experiences that range from ultra-technical to incredibly simple.
In 2016, the Global Grad Show invited 145 projects from 50 universities in 30 countries, almost tripling the amount of projects from its inaugural year, making it the largest global design showcase for students.
Abwab
Abwab, the word for 'doors' in Arabic, is a showcase of work from countries in the MENASA region. Different countries are selected every year and designers from that region showcase their work in interactive pavilions. Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE were selected in 2015. The 2016 edition featured Algeria, India, Iraq, Bahrain, Palestine, and the UAE.
Iconic City
Iconic City is a showcase of the culture and design of Middle Eastern and North African cities. A different city is selected every year to be highlighted at the event with Beirut selected in 2015 and Cairo in 2016.
