Drsnik (Serbian: Дрсник) or Dërsnik (Albanian: Dërsnik or Dërsniku) is a settlement in the Klina municipality of Kosovo. During Early Middle Ages, Porphyrogenitus mentions the urban center of Desstinik. There are very important archeological discoveries of Roman period made in August 2013.

Dërsnik had a Serbian majority. In June 1999 the Serbian population fled due to war. Serbs returned to the village after five years, on June 2005. The church of St. Paraskeva, which dates back to the 16th century, was completely torched inside in June 1999 and is undergoing complete renewal and restoration of the surviving frescoes.

The Serbian media reports that several homes have been burned in 2009.

Population

In the 2011 census, the population was 1770.

Previous census figures may not have been accurate. Data for 1991 may not reflect the correct number of Albanians that year, as they largely boycotted that census.
