Plot

Hosted by Zack Spencer and Lacey Elliott (Dagmar Midcap from 2003 - 2008), Driving Television a National new car review show gives it's viewers information on the newest cars, as well as insight into the automobile market.

History

Tobias Kriesz (born in 1961) came to Vancouver in 1982. He had a degree in sales and marketing, but was unable to speak English fluently. So for three years, he framed houses. In 1985, he becomes a Canadian citizen and his language skills were improved. By that time, VCRs came out. Kriesz decided to buy video equipment. Eventually, Kriesz's wife, Lin joined him as a creative partner and they opened a retail location near their Surrey home, offering duplication and transferring services. In 1999, interactive CDs and DVDs come out and the Krieszs decide to form Tencrows.com Technologies. The name Tencrows comes from ten investors who agree that crows are the most clever birds while chatting. It was a disaster, so Tobias and Lin decided to move into production with the goal of producing and marketing television programs. Tencrows.com Technologies thus became Tencrows Media Group. In 2002, Tobias Kriesz finds his mentor, Bruce Arabsky. After a period of brainstorming, and knowing there was not many advice about purchasing cars on TV, Kriesz and Arabsky created Driving Television (despite having no experience in the field). Writer Greg Wilson was hired, as well as hosts Zack Spencer and Dagmar Midcap (Midcap will later be replaced by Lacey Elliott). A pilot was produced and cost $25,000. Kriesz then showed the pilot to Global Television - whom were interested of airing the show. The first episode then aired in September 2003, it was a smash.
