Gameplay
Drawception is a combination of drawing with the classic telephone game rules. When a player starts a new game, they are either presented an image or a phrase that they have to draw/describe. The game follows a set of basic rules:
Once a game has been completed, the players who participated are notified and can view the resulting chain of drawings and descriptions. Usually, the results may turn out very different from the phrase/drawing the game started from.
The Art Store
The Art Store is a virtual store inside Drawception where the player is allowed to buy cosmetic items for themselves, ranging from themes that give extra colors to power-ups that give you extra perks in games. The player can buy these items from coins, which they get from leveling up or with microtransactions.
Items come in two types: consumables and permanent. Consumables can be bought multiple times, and can be used in games. When you use one up, the item disappears. Permanent items cost more than regular items, but once bought will they stay attached to your account and your profile. Keep in mind that items bought from one account will not transfer to a different account, as these items are bound to the user.

Media
Drawception has often been compared to games like Draw Something or Draw My Thing, which is noted to "combine the weird Pictionary-style guessing of Draw Something with the weird-to-weirder design of a game of Telephone.
