Dover Street Market is a retail fashion company—first located on Dover Street, in Mayfair, London—with stores in the United States, China, and Japan. It was created by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons and her husband Adrian Joffe. It primarily sells Comme des Garçons stock in addition to complimentary brands.

Locations

Dover Street Market, the first location, is located in London in the former Burberry building erected in 1912 by Thomas Burberry. The Former Dover Street Market building (17-18 Dover Street) became the home of Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in May 1950 and relocated to its current space at The Mall in 1968. In March 19, 2016, Dover Street Market moved to Haymarket (South Piccadilly) due to financial reasons.

Other locations include Dover Street Market Ginza opened in 2006 in Tokyo, Dover Street Market New York in Manhattan in the New York School of Applied Design building at 160 Lexington Avenue that was opened in 2013, and a franchise in Beijing.

The London, Ginza and New York stores all have a Rose Bakery café, created by Rose Carrarini and her husband Jean Charles.
