Double Deckers - Douglas Simmonds Interview
Douglas Simmonds (18 February 1958 – 15 March 2011) was a British child actor, who played the part of Doughnut in the British television show Here Come the Double Deckers.
Contents
Simmonds left acting to work in science and medicine, training as a medical student before becoming a theoretical physicist and researcher. Following several years of service as a medical computing expert with the Department of Health, he retired to focus on gardening.
On 15 March 2011 Simmonds suffered a fatal heart attack.
