Doug the Pug is a pug living in Nashville, Tennessee who has gained a large Internet and social media following. Born in Ohio, Doug made the move to Nashville as a puppy when his owner, Leslie Mosier, adopted him and brought him to his current home. He has a large following on social media and has reached the status of a "celebrity dog." He is the most followed pug on the internet. Doug's Facebook page has over 4.4 million likes, his Instagram account has over 2 million followers and his Twitter account has over 120,000 followers. He also has his own Vine and YouTube accounts. Doug has made appearances with various celebrities and appeared at special events such as music festivals. Among these celebrity friends are Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Meghan Trainor, John Legend, and many more.

After Doug's social media started gaining more and more attention, big companies started paying attention. The first to write a feature on Doug was Mashable. Since then, companies like Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, TIME, Huffington Post, and more have begun to take an interest and post their own features on him. His photos have even been featured on Good Morning America. Doug was recently sent to both Lollapalooza and the first ever Billboard Hot 100 Fest. He is also the first verified animal on Spotify. Most recently, Doug appeared in an alternative music video for Fall Out Boy's song Irresistible featuring Demi Lovato.
