Dorthe Nors (born 20 May 1970 in Herning) is a Danish author and writer. She is the first Danish author to be published in the American magazine The New Yorker.

For a short while Nors studied religion science but changed to studying Nordic literature and art history. In 1999 she graduated from university. Before Nors made her literary debut in her own name she worked as a translator of Swedish crime novels, mostly books by author Johan Theorin. In 2002 she made her debut with the book Soul, published by Samlerens Forlag.
In 2015 her short story collection Karate Chop was published in English alongside her novella Minna Needs Rehearsal Space.
