She was daughter of castellan of Lublin Andrzej Firlej h. Lewart and Barbara Szreńska h. Dołęga, the daughter of voivode of Płock Feliks Szreński h. Dołęga and Barbara Kościelska h. Ogończyk

Marriage and issue

Dorota married voivode of Witebsk and Troki Prince Stefan Zbaraski h. Korybut in 1581 and Grand Chancellor of the Crown and Hetman Lew Sapieha h. Lis in 1586 and had five children:

  • Princess Barbara Zbaraska (c. 1582-1602), married miecznik and voivode of Lublin Count Gabriel Tęczyński h. Topór, son of voivode of Kraków and Bełz Andrzej Tęczyński h. Topór and Zofia Dembowska h. Jelita
  • Katarzyna Sapieha (born and died in 1586)
  • Krzysztof Sapieha (born and died in 1588)
  • Jan Stanislaw Sapieha (1589–1635), Court Marshal of Lithuania and Great Lithuanian Marshal, married Countess Anna Scholastyka Chodkiewicz h. Kościesza, daughter of Hetman Jan Karol Chodkiewicz h. Kościesza and Zofia Mielecka h. Gryf. His second consort was Gryzelda Wodeńska h. Kościesza, daughter of voivode of Podlasie Jan Mikołaj Wodeński h. Kościesza and Dorota Krasińska h. Ślepowron
