Woods appeared in six games for the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008, mostly on special teams, but was released on November 22, 2009 and was promptly picked up by the Dallas Cowboys and signed to their practice squad, where he spent the remainder of the 2009 season. The Cowboys cut him in July 2010 to make way for their new draft picks. He was quickly signed by the Bills afterwards, but was released later at the end of preseason as part of the team's final roster cuts.
