Donald A. B. Lindberg (born 1933) was the Director of the United States National Library of Medicine from 1984 till his retirement in 2015. He is known for his work in medical computing. He won the 1997 Morris F. Collen Award.

Life
He grew up in Brooklyn. He graduated from the Poly Prep Country Day School. He graduated from Amherst College in applied mathematics magna cum laude in 1954. He received his M.D. from Columbia University in 1958.
