Doctor Music is an independent concert promoter established in Spain with offices in both Madrid and Barcelona. It was the first promoter to organize large scale music festivals in Spain when in 1996 it created the Doctor Music Festival in Escalarre.

History
Doctor Music was founded in 1982 by Neo Sala the current CEO. Its first concert was with Obús and Strashooter at the Palau Blaugrana 2 in Barcelona, in February 1982.
February 1983 saw the first Doctor Music tour with three shows by UFO in Spain.
In 1987 the company organized the first big Spanish tour by Tina Turner with two dates at the Monumental in Barcelona, one at the Rockodromo in Madrid and another at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia.
In 1988 Doctor Music organized tours by Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.
In 1992 the company set a record by selling over half a million tickets for the Spanish leg of Dire Straits' On The Street tour.
On 12th, 13 and 14 July 1996 the first edition of the Doctor Music Festival in Escalarre Lleida was held and was the first such large scale festival in Spain with an audience of more than 25.000. In 1997 and 1998 the second and the third editions were held at the same location.
On 19 June 1999 Doctor Music organized the Guti Festival at the Olympic Stadium in Madrid "La Peineta", with headliners such as R.E.M., Molotov and Orbital.
On 21 June 2003 Doctor Music Day was organized at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, with names such as Metallica, Evanescence, Zwan and Tricky among others.
In 2005 Doctor Music set a new national record by selling out all available tickets for U2’s Spanish tour (82.000 tickets) in just six hours. In August of the same year Doctor Music reached number 1 of the Billboard Boxscore after taking 9.7 million Euros with the two Bruce Springsteen shows at the Camp Nou in Barcelona and thus becoming the first Spanish promoter, and the only one to date, to head the takings chart for concerts worldwide.
On 6 July 2008 the Doctor Loft 05:00 festival was held in Castelló d'Empúries, Girona with a new format: 26 hours straight, kicking off at 5 in the morning. The line-up, headed by artists such as R.E.M., Iggy &The Stooges and Editors, among others, as well as a state of the art clubbing venue and the world’s finest DJ’s: Deep Dish, Jeff Mills and Felix Da Housecat.
In 2008 Doctor Music was the first promoter to sell out two consecutive dates at the Camp Nou, with the Bruce Springsteen tour breaking yet another record for attendance at a paid concert in Spain.
In 2009 the company created DoctorMusic.DJ, the division of Doctor Music set up for Dj's booking and management, promotion and distribution to national and international markets as well as the organization of electronic music events.
In 2010 Doctor Music promoted and produced the first family shows, with the BBC’s Walking with Dinosaurs.
In 2012, to commemorate its 30th anniversary the promoter organized exhibitions in Madrid (Circulo de Bellas Artes) and Barcelona (Palau Robert) with content collected over Doctor Music’s 30 years, including posters, tickets, backstage passes and photographs.
In 2013 Doctor Music organized the first edition of the reggae festival Trash An' Ready at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona, with performances by SOJA, Black Uhuru, The Skatalites and Pirat's Sound System.
In 2014 the Barcelona Metal Festival was created with a first edition held on July 6 in Poble Espanyol with Within Temptation as headliner.
In 2015 Doctormusic.dj was founded, with Universal Music as a partner, the record label and a 360º working platform, that works with Spanish EDM dj’s, and particularly those from Barcelona. Eyes Of Providence, Gelab and Allan Ramirez were the promoter’s first signings.
