Colonel Dmitry Nikolaevich Fonarev (Dmitrii Nikolaevich Fonarev) is a retired KGB 9th “Kremlin-9” Directorate (9 Upravlenie) HQ senior officer (today's FSO Federal Protective Service (Russia)).

KGB career

After graduation at the Technical midschool, he started his military career in military 1984. He went to the KGB High School in the 1985-1989 and he graduated in 1987 as an aircraft technician and became lawyer. He did research in security theories and strategies, and helped develop the Grey shadow's bodyguard club. In 1981 he worked for the KGB 9th Directorate Government buildings security detail and later in 1982 for the KGB 9th directorate Personal protection detail (Heads of the USSR state Yury Andropov, Konstantin Chernenko, Mikhail Gorbachev, Party Politbureau, and all governmental visits security service, trips and cover events). In 1987 he was part of the USSR Prime Minister Nikolai Ryzhkov personal protection team at an official visit to India. Also in 1987 he was part of the personal protection team at the Reagan-Gorbachev summit in Washington DC. Cufflinks on behalf of the US President Ronald Reagan. PSO for the USSR Red Army Marshal Sergey Akhromeyev. In 1988 he was the chief-commander from the antiterrorist group for the US President official visit to Moscow. Private security consultant

He started his private security activity,consultancy,close protection activity. And became a member of the State Security Veterans Club in 1994. In the period from 1994 -1998 he started teaching and training a non-government security schools. And founded the NAST Russia in 1995.

He organized the International Bodyguard Association Russia in 1995, and organized the first NAST Russia conference in frames of the International forum "Security and safety technologies" in 1996.

He was decorated in Italy with the order of St. Ambrosii (la Croce di Milites Sci. Ambrosii) in 1996. And recorded a cd Made in KGB in 1997. In 1998 he was invited as a guest of the "War and Peace Ball" London. He became a member of the steering committee of the International forum "Security and safety technologies" in 1999. He coordinated the Executive Protection professional test events in 2000 and became Chairman of the Worldwide Bodyguard League (WBGL).

He gave International Masterclasses in the far East & Scandinavia in 2002. He became a member of the steering committee of the International forum "Banking security" in 2003. Received the Crystal award of the "Security and safety in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi UAE in 2003. He obtained a personal EP contract for Microsoft in 2004 and became Honorary Chairman of the "Grey Shadow's" International Bodyguard Club. He did the executive Protection for Dr. Henry Kissinger Moscow in 2004. He was a moderator of the international antiterrorist conference with participation of the US ambassador Alexander Vershbow, The US congressman Curt Weldon and Chairman of the State Duma Security Committee Vladimir Vassiljev in 2005. He was the author of the DVD film Bodyguards. The way to the professional world awarded by the medal of the international forum "Security and safety technologies" in 2005. And he became a member of the international antiterrorist forum in the USA (Washington) in frames of the Russia delegation. He was organized the executive Protection for AMD top executive in 2005. And received the all-Russia "Olympia" award. He gave historical readings in the state museum of the "Russian Politic Police", Saint Petersburg, in 2006. And received the all-Russia "Business Elite" award. He was the Russia team leader for Bill Gates (Microsoft) at the Moscow visit.
