Dixon is located at 41°44′29″N 90°46′58″W (41.741464, −90.782891).

2010 census
As of the census of 2010, there were 247 people, 98 households, and 67 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,646.7 inhabitants per square mile (635.8/km2). There were 104 housing units at an average density of 693.3 per square mile (267.7/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.8% White, 1.2% African American, 0.8% Native American, and 1.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.4% of the population.
There were 98 households of which 31.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.1% were married couples living together, 5.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 10.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 31.6% were non-families. 21.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.90.
