Disco-Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes were a disco group of the 1970s featuring Sir Monti Rock III (born Joseph Montanez Jr., 29 May 1942, Bronx, New York).

Career
The group included Bob Crewe, Cidny Bullens (formerly known as Cindy Bullens), Kenny Nolan and Sir Monti Rock III. Albums included a self-titled album, and Manhattan Millionaire.
Their biggest hits were 1974's "Get Dancin'" (#10 USA, #8 UK and Canada) and 1975's "I Wanna Dance Wit' Choo (Doo Dat Dance)" (#23 USA, #6 UK). "Get Dancin'" is featured on The Simpsons episodes "Bart vs. Thanksgiving" and "I'm Goin' to Praiseland" (both times performed by fictional group 'Hooray for Everything').
"Get Dancin'" is ranked as the 82nd biggest Canadian hit of 1975, and ranks as the 100th biggest American hit of the year.
The group was name-checked by Elvis Costello in the song "Invasion Hit Parade" from his 1991 release Mighty Like a Rose with the "King of the Road"-alike lyric "No pool, no pets, no cigarettes - Just non-stop Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes".
The group Pet Shop Boys included the lyric "It's the greatest show with the best effects, since Disco Tex and the Sex-O-Lettes" on their 1996 song "Electricity" from the album Bilingual.
