Diogo Gonçalves de Travassos (1390s-1449) was a Portuguese nobleman, escrivão da puridade (King's private secretary) of Peter, Duke of Coimbra.

Biography

Diogo was the son of Martim Gonçalves de Travassos and Catarina Dias de Melo. His wife was Violante Velho Cabral, sister of Gonçalo Velho Cabral, and descendant of Pedro Soares Velho.

Diogo Gonçalves de Travassos participated actively in the conquest of Ceuta. He died in 1449, and was buried in Batalha Monastery, the chapel door of kings.
