Konstantinidis started his career through the youth ranks of PAOK. He was 14 years old, when he was spotted by PAOK grassroots' staff. It was in a game against Florina FC and he was playing in the right midfield - they moved to sign him immediately. Not many players can boast having completed for PAOK senior squad while still members of the U17 team. The young rignt-back made his unofficial debut with the first team just turned 16 years old, against Partizan in a 2010 friendly game, just a few weeks turning 16! Initially, Konstantinidis played as a right midfielder, but in the academies turned to be a fully right-back player.
