Didier Cahen, born September 11, 1950 in Boulogne-Billancourt, is a poet, essayist and French journalist.

Biography
He spent twenty years with France Culture as radio producer. He has written articles for the Encyclopædia Universalis. He also organized symposia in homage to writers, philosophers and poets (Maurice Blanchot, Edmond Jabes, Jacques Derrida, André du Bouchet).
Some of his poetry books are the result of a collaboration with painter friends (Joel Paubel, Thierry Le Saëc, Claude Garache or Garouste). Part of his work is translated into English, Italian or German.
It is also a columnist for the newspaper Le Monde ("Transpoetry" chronic monthly poetry).
He has been invited several times by US universities (Chicago, Columbia, New York, University of California - Santa Barbara) for lectures.
He is also director of student life at the Lycée privé Sainte-Geneviève in Versailles ("Ginette"), a private school that offers preparatory classes for the grandes écoles.
Didier Cahen is a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
