Didi Akinyelure is a Nigerian journalist. She is a graduate of Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. In July 2016, she won the prestigious BBC World News Komla Dumor Award, identifying her as a Future Star of African Journalism. Prior to her career in financial journalism, Akinyelure worked at Barclays Wealth in London. She relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, in 2008. She is also a media entrepreneur, having created the Real Estate/Lifestyle television show A Place in Africa. The show airs on CNBC Africa.

Didi Akinyelure, the 2016 winner of the BBC World News Komla Dumor Awards, studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. She worked for five years in the UK financial sector as an investment banker before joining broadcasting. She featured in Forbes Africa magazine in an article entitled "Telling Africa's Business Story". In 2008, She relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, to work in the Asset Management division of Investment Bank, Oceanic Capital. Seeking a new challenge, she joined CNBC Africa in February 2013 as an anchor and producer. She is the face of CNBC Africa's live morning show Open Exchange, West Africa.

In November 2015, she was granted the first television interview with Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
