Dianella White Eagles Soccer Club

Dianella White Eagles SC is an Australian soccer club based in Perth, Western Australia which was established by the local Serbian Australian community. The team was formed under the name of Dianella Serbia in 1978, with the name changed to the current one in the 1990s to reduce the ethnic tension between former Yugoslav clubs, due to the outbreak of the Yugoslav War. In recent times, the club has seen a major influx of players and personnel who were refugees of the Yugoslav War, mainly from the Krajina region in Croatia, and from Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club's crest shows a football with the double headed eagle (the national emblem of Serbia) on a badge with the Serbian national colours, red, blue and white, in the background. The senior team currently (2016) plays in the Western Australian State League first division.
