History

The company is headed by Kaka Mohanwalia and Bill Mato as key volunteers with the aim of releasing religious music, shabads and other moral based content. Both Kaka and Bill were previously engaged in the Bhangra music industry. After their Sikh ceremony of initiation or Amrit Sanchar, they joined hands and established the company in UK. In 2013, Kaka Mohanwalia became concerned about the lack of publicity and recognition for dharmik music projects and as such the number of such projects was very low. So, Dharam Seva Records released ChojKhalseDe by Sukshinder Shinda and the founders set up the charity with a network of singers, songwriters, a Public Relations Team and social media support. DharamSeva Records have worked with Diljit Dosanjh, Jazzy B, Gippy Grewal, Jassi Gill, Feroz Khan, Harbhajan Mann, Sukshinder Shinda, CharanjitAhuja, DurgaRangila, SatwinderBugga, Benny Dhaliwal, Popsy, AmanHayer, JazDhami, KS Makhan,Tru-Skool, Sangra Vibes Tarli Digital and many others. The company has also tied up with the mantra singer Shabad Deep Kaur from Belgium and the Kavishri singers Angrez Ali and JagowalaJatha in the past.

Dharam Seva Records have become close with many artists in the past years after its inception. They have constantly worked Jazzy B and Sukshinder Shinda. With the initiation of Diljit Dosanjh, the company expanded its network and is currently working with him for a dharmik song. Also Gippy Grewal, Harbhajan Mann and many others have shown avid public support for the label which is fully run by volunteers who take no salary or wages for its entire operation.
