Dhanauri is a village in Jind district, Haryana, India. It is an agricultural community, with a famous and large number of temples. This village is directly linked to Narwana, Tohana, Koyal, Kalayat, Kaithal by road and is situated at the Punjab–Haryana border. Harikash Patwari, a famous writer and poet born here, described the village beauty in his poetry. Recently a sports stadium has been constructed.

In this village mainly the two clubs are working "yua sagathan" and "azaad yua club" both those club have done good social work in the village. This village is a famous village. In this village large size of Anaj Mandi, Higher Boys school, Girl school, S i i T Education, Hospital, Animal Hospital, Power grid, patrol pump, and khal mills. n this village " Baba khair nath Ki Samadhi " is a very famous religious place. Punia medical store, Nafe singh jangra mistri is famous for making temples.

This village gives many national and international players. Gurmail Kour (Indian Handball Team) is one of them. This village is also famous for circle kabaddi (Punjab Style). There are many players of kabaddi, late Baljeet Singh (Ghutia),Satyawan, kala (Surender), Mushal, Mitta, Anil, Dhidba and now the most famous is Tita (Neetu) Naresh (Bata), Tinku (Amen), Rammeher. Naresh (Neesu). Surender Kala and Teeta/Neetu played for India in Circle Kabbadi. Now the team of 62 kg has done a good work for village. That team gave the star players of the future to the country.

The village has a good educational atmosphere having two government higher senior secondary schools, one for boys and one for girls, sheed bhagat singh school, deen bandu sir chotu ram higher senior secondary school (a leading private school in the area) and one vocational training institute. Many students from nearby villages come here for studying and making their future bright. These schools give many government a class officers. These schools organise functions at every Republic Day and Independence Day.

Dhanauri is an agricultural community and has a large number of temples. The village is linked by roads to Narwana, Tohana, Kalayat, and Kaithal. Facilities include schools for boys and for girls, a hospital and a veterinary hospital, Power grid.

Baba Khar Nath temple is a beautiful shrine that was built over the Samadhi of Baba Khar Nath. Dhanauri is located approximately 150 Kilometers from Chandigarh City in India.

Dhanauri has famous temple of Baba Khar Nath. It was established in 1922 to carry out the services of Shri Baba Khar Nath. Shri Prabhu Nath arrived at the village of Dhanauri in the Jind district of Haryana and remained their till his death. Shri Baba Khar Nath of Dhanauri lived between 1860 and 1918; his real name, birthplace and date of birth are not known.

In 2014 Dhanauri village started the "gaushala" that was complete in 2015. It was done by contribution of the village for saving the cow. Now a tampal is constructing in pariferi of goushala.

In 2014, 97% people of all population are Hindu and two Patti is in this village which is Harichand Patti and Lakhan Patti. In this village many people connected with Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa and following all humanity work. The village has a chief leader of social work who is Pirthi Singh (Bhangidas) , Prem Balu, Gurjeet Insa, Balwan insa.ramesh insa(lect.)
