Narayanaswamy of INC. MLA B.A. Basavaraj contesting through INC won the Karnataka Legislative Assembly election, 2013 from K R Puram by a margin of 24001 votes defeating N S Nandiesha Reddy of BJP.

The elected Corporator, M N Srikanth of INC won the BBMP 2015 elections with 6,983 votes with a victory margin of 884 votes defeating Manjuladevi R of BJP
