Geography

The village lies in a valley partly encircled by the mountain ranges:

  • Rujnica (Babina Gomila), to the north
  • Plina to the west
  • Donja Gora to the south
  • The valley begins as an inlet from the Adriatic Sea, with its narrow mouth in the East and extends into the West and opens up into a lake, named Lake Desne. Close by lies another lake named Modro Oko and the both are protected landmarks under the 'significant landmarks' category.
